much to my relief, it was a beat up personal vehicle, not a rental, the license plate looked worn in, there was one wHite man in the car, they looked like they were looking for parking. i had already started walking back, a few seconds later i saw him find a spot further down the street.

in that time that it stopped and turned around, i had to determine if the other pedestrian immediately in my vicinity was friend or foe, if there were other vehicles, how many people were in that minivan, and what direction to walk in to at least try to evade them so i could tie my dog to something.
