Does anyone know where one might find a copy of Magnus Hirschfeld's psycho-Biological questionnaire? I would like to see if I fit the victorian stereotype of what makes someone trans :>

Thank you, good folk! 🌺 I adore you.

In memory of Harriet Hosmer (1830 - 1906) who made such a badass sculpture that the mostly male audience she presented it to were convinced she must've faked it.

Onward to older days

The 40 third gender folks (culturally distinct from trans by definition and nuance) killed by Balboa on the Panama peninsula in 1513 for their femininity... By letting his dogs eat them alive... I have attached the illustration depicting the event.

Oh, and I believe this was taken in the same studio as the Jennie June baby photo!
It's clearly been retouched quite a lot, but the chair has the same curvature & little decorative pom pom string thing.. dated to 1870s / 80s & found in a New England archive — no photographer or studio attributed.

AMERICAN JOURNAL OF
UROLOGY & SEXOLOGY VOL XV
— JANUARY-DECEMBER 1919

"A Case Of Sexual Perversion", abstract on seemingly a gay man (not enough info here to say if they're transfem+ or not, but statistically most likely a gay man.. both fall under the 'sexual inversion' umbrella during this time)

And here is a short contemporary—albeit not entirely elucidating nor comprehensive—early 1900s description of said Twilight Of The Gods by Mowry Saben, for anyone curious if they'd like to give it a read or not :pp

I have a list of the names here, as Saben was frank on it! It was quite a sizable thingy, selling for one entire dollar! Not chump change in those days:

titles of the lectures are as follows: The Twilight Of The Gods, The Divine Right To Freedom, The Religion Of Humanity, & finally, The Golden Age

Free Palestine (and the hostages, yes) ; shame on the IDF, shame on Hamas; love to Palestine, and love to the Israelis who dare to speak against the extremism of the Zionist government.

Look at these indoctrinated children — what normal kid acts and speaks like this? Poor fucking souls

Alright, here come two more Google translated Finnish folk songs/poems... I assume these are from the 1780s to mid 1800s

Gender nonconforming person in newspaper Northern Tribune: Illustrated News Of The Week (1934, Eighth of March)

The way things are going, being scowled upon & sentenced for "the criminal act of being homeless—most unseemly state and a stain on spotless streets" is bound for a major comeback😴

Both women were what we'd call queer today :) Them and a fair amount of other women were a part of a circle of artistic friends.

Emma Stebbins with her partner, Charlotte Cushman.

A bronze statue — "Angel Of The Waters"—adorning a fountain in central park, New York City... Made by Hosmer's friend & fellow Sculptor Emma Stebbins (1815 - 1882), and apparently modeled after the latters' romantic partner, Charlotte Cushman.

"Zenobia in Chains", 1859, is one of her most famous works—depicting the queen of Palmyra as she's marched through Rome in chains after being captured by Emperor Aurelian... When this piece was first displayed, many in the crowd accused her of lying, believing a woman couldn't make such a thing.
