i’m on my way to go do one of the hardest things i’ve ever done or will do: to be with my mom for her final moments and say goodbye. we’ve known it would happen eventually, but this still doesn’t feel quite real to be honest. 💔

the imagery from silent hill f has planted itself firmly in my brain as of late, so i decided to make a drawing about it.

just finished this today, and i’m pretty happy with it!✨✨

a screenshot of a notes app message that reads: october is a hard time of year. my dad's death anniversary and my birthday are coming up. i got news yesterday that my mom's cancer has grown substantially and we don't know how much time she has left. i'm doing my best to focus on the practical things i can do. balancing being present in the grief as well as doing what i can to take breaks from it. i scheduled extra therapy sessions for this month to give myself some more support. but on top of everything else: fascism, genocides, my own chronic illness, sending out hundreds of job applications and still not yielding anything after almost a year... it's all just so much. and today i am struggling.
