im pointing out that data collection is a topic that’s fairly heavily regulated and that’s money some corpos don’t want to even risk having to pay

that’s why i said most. when it comes to how your data is used, some regions have extremely strict rules about how transparent companies have to be about this and they will get fined into oblivion about it if they lie, but that doesn’t stop some of them. im not saying discord doesn’t lie at all

and understand the data that you are sharing with ANY company, because most (key word) companies would rather be upfront with you about what they're using than to hide it and end up in a class action
