Also from the clips out there so far, it's just annoying because there's a guy doing something Samus is very capable of doing but I'm not gonna open that can of worms here.

Also! Prime 4 makes this required. In Prime 3 at no point does having to interact with people become a required part of the game.

The trailer explicitly states that some of them can lead you to pickups. Which sounded optional, but in preview footage, you just. Get a New Beam. Straight up.

This is true to an extent, but it wasn't to the point where one big portion of the game is dedicated to the dialogue. And even then, Prime 3 was a weaker game because of how much it deviated from Metroid's formula!
