Went to the coast with some amazing women in my family—my mom, sister, aunts, and cousins. We laughed, cried a little, celebrated two brides-to-be, saw whales, fawns, surfers, and a seagull who visited daily. So grateful for these wonderful ladies and such a beautiful weekend together!

Days 24-26 on the Heart Transplant list!
Went camping this weekend and tested out all our new stuff. Had a wonderful time. Lovely campfires, delicious food, and connecting with nature. I’m already eager for our next camping trip.

Can’t be more than 5 hrs from my hospital while listed. We got everything we need, including a satellite phone, to start tent camping again and do some dispersed camping.
I may not be able to travel far but that doesn’t mean we can’t have adventures. 🏕️

Had my final procedure for my heart transplant evaluation done today. Everything went great! They are presenting my case to the committee again on Wednesday. ❤️🤞🏻

As most people enjoy doing the day before their birthday I spent the morn at the DMV renewing my license. However, it was lovely seeing how much I’ve changed in my photo. Now we’re headed to the store to get stuff to make appetizers today and prepare for a Resident Evil movie marathon today. ❤️

Tonight’s birthday lead up event was drinks and comedy show of Jimmy Carr! Was a fantastic show! Had such a great time!

April 3rd I’m scheduled to get a robotic laparoscopic total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy. It can’t happen fast enough. Transplant listing is delayed until this is done and I’ve recovered. After the last 98 days, two trips to the ER and no answers I am sooo ready to evict this uterus!

I have to say that I love Progressive. They’ve always been good to us. Just cut us a check for the Explorer and it ended up being more than we expected. Not even a week and it’s all resolved. Have the rental for a month while we get me a different car. Been a roller coaster of emotions this week ❤️

Transplant Eval Day 2:
All my tests and imaging look great! Just waiting on two important antibody tests, which take about a week. Once those are back, my case goes to the transplant committee, then insurance approval. Hoping to be officially listed by the end of this month or early next!

Said goodbye to my Explorer yesterday. Insurance is going to total it out. Waiting for the settlement and then off to find a different car. I didn’t expect to feel so emotional over a car but I really loved her. So long friend. 😢

Nothing like waking up to your car door window broken out and the fuse box fucked up. Seems someone tried to steal the Explorer and failed in the end. It’s not drivable now. Cops advised us to remove our Ally, BLM and Pagan stickers from the vehicles in case that is why we were targeted.

Right heart cath went great. My pressures are right where they want to see them. Although they said I’m still running dehydrated so I need to drink even more water.

Right heart cath went great. My pressures are right where they want to see them. Although they said I’m still running dehydrated so I need to drink even more water.

Just had my blood draw, 29 vials. They said there would have been 10 more vials but those tests were done before my LVAD so they didn't have to repeat them. Next up today is my echo.
