"...I feel "dismantled" may be too soft a word because it implies the ability to rebuild. Perhaps better words are smashed, crushed, or shattered. The maiming is so great, the component parts of our democracy may not be put back together. We love our country and are proud of freedom and democracy.

Both of my Senators are Republican--one is conspicuously quiet and the other is hopeless. I wrote to the former. Here's part of my plea (in a few posts): "Our country, its institutions, ideals, and foundations are openly, but somehow under the cover of darkness, being at dismantled. . .

I'm new to Bluesky and not a big social media poster, follower, etc. I have a "less is just right" attitude about it. I have been told mine is an "indoor" voice. I've never experienced a more crucial time to use it. I hope some fellow soft-talkers use their voices, too. There are a lot of us!
