My mom is in the central valley California and has always been like republican-lite. It's been a rough year even that's not rural. Sorry you had to deal with that! I can't imagine. Btw LA is not a hell hole like they probably said 50 times. I can attest to it

I can see that. "Just try x", "maybe y will work". Ad nauseum. With a few different combos of psych meds, going from stable to unstable -- hard to judge what the real underlying issues are.

Public health shouldn’t be centred around individual behaviour change. It should be focused on changing the wider commercial, social, environmental & ultimately political determinants of health. Behaviour change will naturally come when healthy behaviours are facilitated by those structural changes.

National Crime Victimization Survey and National Incident Reporting seems to still show 55% is 'young white males', but in these other studies of 'hate crime offender', the mean age is 33.

Running all this analysis on the underreporting of hate crimes, incident reports, and then combing through actual studies of 'hate crime offenders' paint a confusing picture
