Player welfare is, rightly, number one priority in 2025 but it hasn't always been so with numerous instances in the past where the treatment of injured players seems incredible today. November 5th 1927 was one such occasion for Len Hill the @lincolncityfc.bsky.social goalkeeper.

2nd defeat in London on our last visit, unless we get a Cup tie in the capital, this season for @lincolncityfc.bsky.social City's record in London isn't great with both the win and loss % being considerably different in visits to London compared to the average in all Football League away games

If at the end of a season you have scored the fewest goals in the division you will most likely have finished nearer the bottom than the top. 6th in the table is the highest any team scoring the least goals has finished and it has happened 3 times in the FL Derby 1901/02 and Watford 1949/50 are 2

Happy Lincolnshire Day

Winning the Lincolnshire Cup was one of the main motives behind the formation of @lincolncityfc.bsky.social in 1884 and three years later City won the cup for the first time beating Grimsby Town 2-0 in a replay at Gainsborough Trinity's Northolme ground.

@lincolncityfc.bsky.social 3-0 win at Peterborough was the club's biggest ever at London Road. It came 18 years 278 days since City's last win there. A long time but compared to some gaps between away wins not long at all! Records are for Football League matches only

Sad to see Lincoln City Women’s first game of the season on Sunday has been postponed. No reason given but lack of players as they were advertising as recently as Tuesday for them would seem the likely reason.

Busy day for incomings but first chance I've had to recognise a departing Imp's career. Possibly a move that took many by surprise as it hadn't been splashed all over social media for days. A throwback to the days when you only found out about moves in the Echo!
