Hello #Bluesky community! Reintroducing myself here since there's been a deluge of people leaving the Upside Down.

I teach elementary Band and Orchestra in grades 4-6. I married my best friend and have two amazing children. Never met a pizza I didn't like.

The whole premise of a for profit company providing testing services bothers me. Like, of course kids do poorly on your test, that's how you get schools to keep buying the test In the first place!

I never really understood this policy stance. Like... we all agree there should be restrictions on "arms." No reasonable person thinks citizens should be able to purchase grenade launchers, F16s or nuclear warheads. 🤷🏼‍♂️
