It was #GrandBakingDay on Tuesday with three of my #grandchildren. We made cheese straws, some with a twist - tractors, hearts and chicks.

I’ve been #verified as an #adult by #Bluesky. I’m glad the assessment was based on my face and not my behaviour.

I just spotted this and wondered if you could check it out and maybe report it if it stands up to your scrutiny. It would certainly help us all understand the deep mess we are in.
UK national debt rose from £0.9 trillion in 2010 to £2.7 trillion by 2024 under Conservative governance, alongside stagnant productivity growth (0.5% annually per ONS). That's despite them putting taxes up to their highest in 70 years.

Bet you didn’t know

Why?

The media never said a thing.

Just catching up on the news. Well done Bridget Phillipson for standing your ground with Laura K this morning. #Labour

One of life’s in fathomable questions: whenever I’m digging in the garden the sun is meltingly hot. As soon as the coffee arrives the wind blows and the clouds roll in. Why? Prepare for sunshine folks. I’m about to pick up the spade again.

My Garden Joy

The sun shone. The rain is gone
A warming breeze caresses leaves
Bird song is shrill, then still
My world is such a wonderful space
I'm truly glad to contemplate
In sunshine, birdsong, plants and flowers.
Whilst over it all the tall tree towers. #garden #poetry #chilling

Gaillardia (blanket flower) One of my favourite plants. A native plant of North and South Americas. Flowers all summer and into Autumn. #summer #flowers #photography

I was thrilled this morning to see a hedgehog picked up by our camera. I’ve no way to tell if it is Peggie returning to our garden for a second summer but I can pretend he/she has. 😂

Well done to @skynewsrss.bsky.social Kamali Melbourne for challenging the Israeli spokesman this afternoon. 👍🏻

I have a bird feeder with camera. Sometimes I put feed on our covered bird table so the little birds don’t don’t have to fight the squirrel, pigeons and magpies. I put the camera there to see who is dining. I’m not sure what happened here but maybe he wants to join a circus #nature #birds #smile

We paid a visit to Flamborough Head at the #Yorkshire coast yesterday. We walked along the cliffs to admire the seabird populations and the wonderful seascapes. #Nature #seascapes #seabirds

Well done guys. So heartwarming.
Seal-abration time! 🎉🌊 Just watched 4 seals get released back into the wild and it's the most wholesome thing you'll see all day 🐳❤️ #SealRelease #WildlifeConservation #OceanLove #FlipperFriends 🌊💖 #AnimalLovers

Three of many beautiful pink peonies strutting their stuff in our garden this sunny Saturday. #peonies #gardening #gardens

I missed the announcement @pmqs that winter fuel allowance #WFA cuts are being reviewed. I’d much rather have a PM that reacts to change a decision that continue to drive it forward due to dogma.

Bluebell Wood

Azure and cobalt flashes
As the zephyr rings the bells
And nature's giants tower
Over damp and pungent smells.
The canopy protects them
From sun and wind and rain
So we can be enchanted
When they carpet earth again.

We’ve been to @nationaltrust.bsky.social Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal again. It is a beautiful, extensive site with lots to see and hear. We joined a free guided tour of the Abbey church with a very knowledgeable, affable guide. The cherry on a wonderful cake.

The Cowslip

Dots of yellow dancing
On tubes of palest green
And stems that take them skyward
So their beauty can be seen
Leaves like quilted pillows
Catch sunshine, feed them all
Spring is here is their shout
But silent is their call.

I’m meeting a friend for coffee at a shopping centre this morning. My husband’s goodbye message was “have a good time and don’t buy anything we don’t need.” My response? “I never do. We always need it. You don’t know it”😂

@news.sky.com Dear Sky. I’ve had to turn you off. Those brothers flying to the States is hardly big news.

The newscaster reported on @SkyNews that Nigel Farage would be standing on a tank to address those at the farmers’ protest. My first thought was slurry tank.

The duck audience seems to be admiring the brave swimmers. A bit like being at Scarborough and watching brave swimmers on Boxing Day.
