If you have a friend or family member or partner, you can have them open up your account and block the people being negative and horrible for you before you look at comments. Plenty of youtubers employ this strategy.

I am pretty sure you can turn off weather and then the annoying visual glitch of weather inside will go away. Idk if you use mods but you could post on the Sims4 sub reddit for help since most modders have closed their support due to the patch.
