Seems like a reasonable position “maybe it's going to produce the next War and Peace. if people want to read that book, AI-generated or not, we will be selling it -as long as it doesn't pretend to [be] something that it isn't. We as booksellers would certainly naturally and instinctively disdain it’

The level of anti AI sentiment on this site is remarkable. Blocking a leading expert in a field you are presumably interested in because of AI use is quite a position. Reminds me a bit of the most hardcore Linux ultras and Windows

These kinds of comparisons are a good illustration of how far to the right the “centre” is in the US. Countries like Sweden, Finland and Germany get called “socialist” despite being run by right wing/ conservative parties. Denmark is run by the centre left but with a hard right immigration policy.

The night train has been a decent alternative for me (Stockholm to Germany for work trips a few times a year)

Yet Northern European countries that have lots of that list have below replacement birth rates, and countries with none of that list have extremely high birth rates.

I think you need to update your view of Sweden, we’ve had a right wing gov working with the far right for three years, who basically hate the environment and have the policies to match
