The worst part is that it's EXTREMELY obvious what Seattle are gonna do next year: They're gonna pull a 17/18 Ottawa Senators: Not be active in the off-season, try to run it back with the same core and fail miserably, causing a multiple year playoff drought.

They had EVERY right to react the way they did. A lot of those fans had seen that story play out way too many times. They're 3-9 in game 7's since moving to the Eastern Conference. They have less playoff series wins (2) in the salary cap era than the fucking SABRES (4).

But when Leafs fans do it, suddenly it's "Trashy" and "Ungrateful". There are so many people out there that just blindly hate the Leafs to the point where just see any sort of discontent as arrogance. They pay the highest ticket prices in Canada (and probably the entire league).

Speaking of the Leafs, if a team like the Flames or the Blue Jackets booed their team off the ice after losing back to back home games, including a game 7 by a score of 6-1, people would be saying that they have the right to do that (which I believe they do).

I also firmly believe that the reason it became such a big story was because it was against the Leafs. If it was against ANY other team in the league it would have not been as big of a story. But hey, 'Maple Leafs bad' gets clicks, no matter how much of the situation was in their control.
