Yeah, same with video games too. An unfortunate amount of people seem to think that there's an expiration date on joy and whimsy (or finding joy *in* whimsy), which is honestly rather sad. A lot of it boils down to "I don't like it, so how dare you like it", too.

It does suck a whole lot. One very minor hope I have is that using GenAI in that way may finally be the last drop that gets politicians in the EU and other democratic states to act in terms of legislation, but I'm not holding my breath :/
