Aside from the 4 sleeves patterns & mock-ups I've prepared the international structure of the vest, and added some floating canvas by hand. This is shown on the last picture with the X shaped catch stitch. Everything without a seam allowance on the vest is secured this way. I still need to prepare the sleeves, but I'm already looking forward to sewing everything together. The sleeves for the Black Widow costume have been a journey the past days, to the point I just started cutting minor alterations while wearing the garment pinned. But how much I already like this shape, how slim the back and waist fall added some floating canvas by hand. This is shown on the last picture with the X shaped catch stitch.

I'm so hyped, the Black Widow corset fits so well and feels so comfy.

Funny fact: there is 6m steel boning of verious widths and typed in this corset.

I've been finishing the edges of the corset by hand sewing them on the inside. Here is a timelapse of 1 hour of sewing in one minute. This is just one of the 4 sides and it takes up a lot of time, but whoww what is the result worth it.

Here is the finished top of one half of the corset, with the inside handsewn in place.

I've altered the top line of the corset multiple times, sewed in some boning, and made bias tape from the bridal silk.

Here I use a hole cutter to make holes, later I switch the dies with eyelet dies and install the eyelets in the back panel of the corset.

My sewing machine was squeaking so I decided to take it apart and fix it.
The culprit was a tension wheel from one of the belts.

Went to the Gundam TCG pre-release today. And had a blast.

I've been playing MTG on and off since 2003 and tbh the amount text on their cards kinda lost me. This is more friendly to play and the art is amazing.

This was a really fun day in Germany with an old friend. Due to illness I haven't done a photoshoot for 6 years, and it was fun my last one was with the same photographer as this shoot. We went to landschafts park with a casual outfit and we had a blast. "Looking into the distance towards the moment we meet again." Sadly my dad passed away after this shoot was done, making this photo a nice memory since we both liked photography. I'm looking forward to meeting you again when my shitshow is over.

Upcoming costume

I hope to finish it before elfia in april. This was my first event back in 2007, back then I went as a gothic bride in my second selfmade dress.
Now that the location is closing for this event I will go in mourning as a black widow.
