Today's #energy supply for California, so far. Note: the massive #solar generation during the day (in green) both cuts natural gas use AND charges batteries (purple). Those batteries will fill some of the gap in the evening as solar ramps down.
California energy supply graph from CAL CAISO. The solar curve in green ramps way up during the day and natural gas use is curtailed. Batteries are also charged by the solar, and they are then discharged in the evening. Smaller amounts of nuclear, imports, and hydro are also shown.
