Oh, it is 100% needed for Amiga 600, 1200, 4000 and CD32. It just isn’t an automatic fix for all problems.

Mostly CD audio music (including some unexpected bonus tracks, and the music is awesome with a base speaker). Also, Colin talks now rather than making alien sounds.

I spent all afternoon doing the Christmas decorations for my wife’s shop window. Including two Christmas trees.

I think we all strive for relationships where our partner looks at us the way Erika looks at JD…

I refuse to believe any more versions exist after GTA 2.

LOL! No, whoever tried to fix it last soldered most of the capacitors on backwards. Completely ignoring the markings which are the same shape as the bottom of the capacitor

I’ve had boards in that have had recaps from professional services. They didn’t clear the corrosion and a few months later it has damaged something else.

I’m assuming this one was recapped at home by whoever sold it to my customer

I did have one P1S. Then my wife used “girl math” to talk me into second. Now we have a printer room in the house and my P2S turned up a week ago.

I'm surprised they didn't pop when I powered it up. Such an obvious issue that I didn't even notice it!

TV modulator. Third pin might be soldered at the bottom, I haven't taken the board out yet to check. Most people don't use the modulator anyway, because there is composite and RGB.
The actual problem is way more obvious than that.

Yea, the majority of CD32 have their through-hole capacitors backwards, which is why they bulge / pop. The audio SMD capacitors backwards in A4000s and a few caps on 040 cards on A4000s too.
This was someone's recap (or "recrap").

Almost all the polarised capacitors are backwards!

I eventually want one for my A3000. Already have a spare 060 to go in it.

Unfortunately not. I’m in Nuremberg for it-sa.
