John Dalton, known as the 'Father of Chemistry', was born #OnThisDay in 1766. He was a chemist, physicist & meteorologist who introduced atomic theory to chemistry and conducted research into colour blindness. The atomic mass unit is named in his honour.

#OnThisDay in 2004, Sune K. Bergström died at the age of 88. He was a Swedish Biochemist who won the @nobelprize.bsky.social in 1982 for his work on prostaglandins - showing that they are formed from unsaturated fatty acids. lipidmaps.org/lmsd_search/...
