I write things. And make things. All the things.
Airflow's been around a lot longer - big, established ecosystem. Lots of documentation, plugins, etc.

Kestra's probably easier to teach and might be where things are headed, but not as widespread. I wouldn't let that hold you back from applying though. The core concepts are the same.

This shows up in the reading of short stories too. It takes me 2-3x longer to finish reading a short story collection than a comparable-length novel because I am focusing on all the details.

Touch is the same for me, but I've found a dark, still room/closet/blanket-over-head, with noise cancelling headphones on works too, just takes a little longer.

That being said, there are situations where *nothing* helps and I think the best one can do is survive.

I’d agree with “don’t feel like you have to write when you’re sick“ but not avoiding it altogether. Your fever-addled mind will produce all sorts of fun things. Granted, most of it will be nonsensical garbage, but there might be some fun, wild stuff in there too.

🤷🏻‍♂️ Sure. But they’re buying books, helping keep the ecosystem alive, normalizing books being a thing in the world. Take the little wins, I say.

feels a little gatekeep-y. Why not just be happy that people are reading at all, given how may don’t?

Que no los dos?

The people who think writing is the worst part have never done the work required for publication. 🫠
