As cats often do- Also- Omg- wait- your cat is like my cat’s opposite twin?? Your cat has a black star on their back, and mine has a white star on hers. Yet the calico patterning is the same. Wild. My cat’s name is Fudge- what is yours? 👀

Which I’d say I have a 98% success rate no matter how traumatized the dog is/was- I always try to understand where the trauma comes from and working with the pet as they are comfortable. Animals know fight or flight- so I do the best I can- they deserve it.

I work with a lot of high anxiety and pets who are usually turned away by other groomers. I take my job very seriously and will attempt always to help if I can.

I actually had a dream like this the other day.. I should draw it.

Realizing that allowing people to believe otherwise or not correcting- in a way had me also believing.. In the process erasing where I come from and where my family comes from. I’m sure I’m not the only person who has felt this way before, but I don’t want to keep erasing that because of how I look.

It just feels frustrating and dismissive when people assume due to the color of anything. In general.
I hope this year to start reconnecting with all sides and talking to those sides of my family more. I want to be able to continue on the culture and heritage until I pass on-I think it’s important.

My native side I haven’t reached out to, but someday I’d like to reclaim that part of my heritage. I know I benefit from “white privledge,” as I am, but it doesn’t erase where my culture and family are from. It’s why my “me”sona is a chimera, I’m a bit of everything and these are the genetics dealt.
