I get it. I am still lurking there, myself. I haven't found a replacement for my community group here. Today, there was a large explosion that shook the ground for miles, and I had to go there to see what it was. Car crash? Bomb? Method lab explosion? I think someone's house blew up.

Also, if you set your interests, the discovery tab should bring up random relevant posts that fall into that category. Surf. Find your people. This place is similar to FB, but less intrusive ads and from what I've seen so far, there are far less Trump fanatics.
