Literary erotica for intelligent women. I write about power, attention, and what desire costs when you know it won't save you. madamecharmante.substack.com

for us it was don't ask for permission and just do, regret later. Not the best way to go about stranger's ice cream, but in professional/creative life experience comes with doing. Collecting rejections sounds just like a new way to name procrastination

I had this with some french authors, like JMG Le Clézio, Patrick Modiano or others. Mainly my friend had them in his library and the language was easy enough for an avg level. Now I'm tempted to read all by M. Duras, but postponing it to a calmer period and after I lower the amount of unread books.

Starting to write is one of the most free things in the world already :) People forget that it's not enough to write a story that follows some algorithm for it to be a good story. It's only a pity readers have to go through increased amounts of shitty content

oh, well then yes, it might be someone who thinks there's money in cheating the reader :/ too bad

such a great story :) actually, that's how my story develops - that there's a third person who comes to ask for a shelter. Only I haven't embraced the nordic coldness fully. thanks for a reminder on cultural specifics :) (Though the Norwegians are know are all very social)

I have a plan to write a story about skiing in Norway and getting stuck in the cabin due to snow storm.
At the same time, I'm working on attracting readers to my first six erotic stories through here a bit, but mainly on substack. Which is an adventure of its own.

Maybe that's someone who's not good (or slow) in marketing / focused on kindle.
As I'm on this just for a couple of months, writing + getting publicity + finding sales + developing an online presence takes energy &time. And then SEO catches up with a delay. Frustrating.

Hope the book was good!

I've been reading around the world and it frustrated me so much when I was unable to find enough of ebooks by writers from Andorra or Aruba. I'm heading to Bahamas and there, again, many writers with no ebooks. Reading in French helps to get access to more books, but that's not enough :/
