Zach, I listened to your story on This American Life and was moved by it. One question, though: Why aren’t you calling out your dad more completely on his rejection of your sister? Your line about being “in good standing with everyone,” as though that’s the most important thing, bothered me. Thanks.

Yes! I went to Home Depot the second day and almost started crying because it was just too much sound.
