I also needed this reminder. As bad as everything is (and it is bad and most likely going to get worse), I just feel we won't go quietly into the night.
Most people came here from other places, so it's ingrained in us to be fighters and survivors.

I have been, and will continue to post this often. Your Guard, Reserve and active duty family, friends, neighbors and coworkers are going to need it.

If I did have the day off I would be looking at MLK day of service in my area or being out of the house for the day avoiding the news/social media.

I believe it! I'm in HB (I know I know... the Florida if California) and our community and our community have been coming together to put donations together to take up there.

I'm in OC, so nowhere near the fires, but it is so heartbreaking to watch the news. The winds are no joke tonight!
