The documentary's subtitles move fast and are tricky to follow though.

I am not going to link the documentary here, but I appreciated it because while it covers an artist I admire, it also goes into a bit of criticism that I find quite valid (around what I might think of as appropriation/exoticism). Also, the bit of non-Western perspective is interesting.

LP is what prompted the post, though YT to verify what I was sharing matches hah.

I think this one is very unique, and while not all #MakayaMcCraven 's output is for me (I still, after all these years, am warming to Jazz), this collection of music hits whatever vibe I need right now. <3

I love the upcoming #MakayaMcCraven work because there are some very nice production aspects (can feel almost collage like in moments) while also seemingly just snapshotting some amazing sessions of music.

This #MakayaMcCraven song "The Loneliness" is not super representative of his work I suppose -- I don't know, maybe it is (the song is from a reworked album)... but I love it.

#MakayaMcCraven will be in Seattle on 10/26.

Don't think I can make the show, as it is pinned right between a work trip and an important-decision appointment, but still tempting all the same. There is an early show, hmm.

I am going to do something wild and actually wear the shirt that came with the #EgObliqueGraph box set :)

#NurseWithWound 's '3 Lesbian Sardines' is a performance from The Great Monster Dada Show.

The title of #NurseWithWound 's '3 Lesbian Sardines' is a dadaist reference, like a lot of his titles.

Regardless, this opening to #NurseWithWound 's '3 Lesbian Sardines' is surprisingly soft, rhythmic (the opener, not the whole performance), and psychedelic.

I get lost in the massiveness of #NurseWithWound 's discography, but I think this opening to 3 Lesbian Sardines is a hybrid of the Trippin' Music and Rock N Roll Station/Second Pirate Session sound... or that's what came to mind anyway.
