Don't blame me, I voted Remain. Also Swindon Town FC, Blue Jays, Beatles, New Order. Trying to avoid that other place because of fascists.
I'm just waiting for Labour to come out with a statement that makes them look even more craven than usual.

Genius idea - making programmes for a platform full of illegal BBC content (and I'm not talking about stuff that's otherwise unavailable) and "creators" earning money by laughing at old BBC sketch shows and saying "this is hilarious" as if that excuses their abuse of copyright law.

Yes we have.

The people who voted for Brexit were told this would happen. They choose to believe the lies from the likes of Johnson and Farage.

Shame on Labour for not calling out these charlatans and chancers at every opportunity.

Not especially strong words and bugger all action.
January 12, 2026 at 8:14 PM
Sofa, surely?
January 10, 2026 at 7:37 PM
Are any of these still on Twitter though? That's the real question.
January 10, 2026 at 4:36 PM
There would be absolutely no point in anyone from Swindon even bothering to vote in a local election as our councillors would just be outvoted by the rest of the county's.
January 9, 2026 at 10:28 PM
Swindon is 4-5x the size of the next largest towns in Wilts yet those and smaller places will be calling the shots for good. And it's not as though Swindon is in the centre of the county - it's stuck out in the NE, so we'll be run by a bunch of Tories from small towns and the sticks.
January 9, 2026 at 10:26 PM
As someone who lives in Swindon I don't get why the boundaries of Swindon aren't extended by 5-10 miles all round to take into small neighbouring towns whose inhabitants work here and use our facilities.

If the government left and moved to, say, BlueSky, wouldn't the BBC and other media have to do so as well? Football is another matter but clubs could be pressurised by fans.

"Wingnuts"

I'm torn between him keeling over right now or him suffering a long agonising death while all the "Trump" branding is removed from everything he's slapped it on since 2016.
January 9, 2026 at 5:19 PM
Aren't the Lib Dems still on Twitter?
January 9, 2026 at 5:06 PM
He's already got a winner's medal. Stole it at the presentation after the final.
January 9, 2026 at 4:26 PM
I bloody well hope not.

And RTD shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Doctor Who in the future, and that includes the 2026 Christmas special.
January 9, 2026 at 3:34 PM
Good to see the BBC doing something about it by, err, staying on Twitter and doing absolutely bugger all.
January 9, 2026 at 2:41 PM
I find it insulting that the government is still using it.
January 9, 2026 at 2:14 PM
Even if you hadn't thought anyone would use it in this way as soon as they started any responsible co. would pull it immediately and then thoroughly test a reworked version in-house before relaunching it. Musk obviously doesn't give a toss and then uses "free speech" to get the US govt to back him
January 9, 2026 at 2:07 PM
The only other one Troughton was in was the 1984 Christmas Special, so it can't be that.

s10e4 is the 1984 New Year's Day show.

He could always slap a banner with "as endorsed by the UK government" on it.
January 9, 2026 at 11:35 AM
A repeat of season 10 episode 4 with Troughton?
