After hearing what scientists had learnt about the night parrot in QLD, Indigenous rangers in WA found 22 new parrot sites from 2017–2023, doubling known records and greatly expanding our knowledge of the rare bird. It shows how two-way partnerships strengthen threatened species recovery.

Since 1958, the US has led on Antarctic diplomacy and science. Trump’s funding cuts will diminish US capacity in Antarctica as China expands its presence.
