It's a great place to live. Just a couple blocks from the downtown area, library, grocery store and walking distance to the river. About as good as you can do for increasing density in maybe the NIMBYiest suburb of Portland.

A prelude to faster models (I hate myself).

Or they just still believe in those causes. The usefulness of which depends on how effective you think yard signs are. Sounds like you don’t think much of yard signs.

Another thing. This admin constantly steps on their own dick as we are seeing first hand in MN. Shit the government down, make them go nuclear and own all their unforced errors. Clearly public pressure is getting to them.

Plus, starting at the compromise position applies little political pressure to allow for concessions in other areas such as forced resignations, etc. Dem leadership would already be fired as negotiators in any other job.

Probably would have helped me achieve more success in school and sports but potentially at the expense of social development. Flamed out hard in my 20s struggling with depression and ADHD. I wish I would have looked into it in college or late high school but probably not too much earlier.

Based on your blog posts, the dreadfulness of Kamala was her likely continuation of public investment in renewable energy projects and lack of interest in reducing national debt? Is that dreadful? Also, anyone concerned about national debt should just look at the track record between the two parties

You’re already operating in the lowest tax rate environment in the US in 100 years. Good lord. Is cutting taxes all you guys think about? What happens when you finally get them to zero? Is that when you finally help?

First round pick for an Ayton rental is steep. Would probably have to take back a bad contract to get the pick, which might not be worth it.

When the mid vets are your best players and you are trying to win games, what other option is there? Scoot made good progress last year. Not sure what his ceiling is. Trending more towards good starter versus star.

You are right and this last playoffs is probably skewing my perception of what’s possible. But we don’t have a Hali or SGA / Jdub.
June 25, 2025 at 3:08 AM
Isn’t it more so just the experience aspect versus specifically helping with offense/defense? Jrue has won two rings and knows what it takes to win at the highest level. Love McCollum (blazer fan here), but he is not bringing that same level of success and experience.

Can’t see them shedding salary just to reup Simons at basically the same rate as Jrue.
June 24, 2025 at 5:29 AM
Soon we will need an NIL salary cap.

Are Dem votes required to pass a continuing resolution to fund the gov?

As a blazers fan, this is one of the reasons why the season has felt a lot better than expected.

Thank you. I’ve been waiting for someone to say this. What they have been cutting is peanuts compared to military spending.

Wasn’t following you but now I am. Fellow attorney, similar interests!

It’s tough because being pro antitrust enforcement with a large platform could be leveraged for actual good.

It’s true. It feels like we are all but passengers.
February 4, 2025 at 6:49 AM
This is the correct take, this helps establish why we are all so confused.

My wife is also a dual national and yeah, this would suck. However, I wish we paid 6 figures in state and local taxes as that would be mean we are making some serious cheddar!

He also wants to smash the Oligarchy, with Zuck’s, Gates’, Soros’ and Bezos’ influence on politics as problematic for the middle class. That was in 2020. I wonder what he thinks now.

Wonder if 2008 crisis and impact on children of baby boomers accelerated decline in natural rates. Took longer to get good jobs, houses, and then kids. Kids and housing aren’t cheap either.
