Teasing your friend about how they can't eat popcorn, watching them eat it anyways, 5 minutes later they have to ask their mom to help with a kernel that got stuck.

There is a slight counter to this! Life is actually incredibly efficient at increasing entropy production in open systems, e.g. the Earth and Sun. It provides tons of different pathways to dissipate energy compared to, say, passive absorption + re-emission of bare rock.
