My DH used to work for a small software company owned by a Jewish man-who made all holidays flexible. It made it easy to have 365 day coverage, and he had his pick of Jewish and Moslem and Hindi developers because they COULD take their holidays off without having to use vacation time.

I understand. I’m now to the point that Halloween is the only major holiday without a death associated with it. And Christmas-New Year’s is especially brutal. We travel over the holidays a lot for that reason.
