Some people ask me why I go birding... well, this is the reason, and it doesn't get better than this. Yes, I was there, and it's my photo. Great Argus displaying.

#nativeplants
- 80% of native bees nest in dead plant stems
- One stem can house up to 20 pollinator larvae
- Early cleanup destroys 6 months of bee development
- Wait until May to clean up
- Leave 15" stem heights
- Create brush piles

A messy yard is a thriving ecosystem!

FOUR Bluebirds in the stream! Providing clear clean flowing water is the best thing you can do for birds.

The immesurable joy of setting up a garden for wildlife - and actually seeing it come to fruition. A Blue-winged Warbler popping into the stream I built while on migration, in my pollinator garden. #nativeplants

Our magic PondStream after the 7 inches of snow. The pond is covered in snow, so insulating it, and the water in the stream continues to flow. And the birds love it - drinking and even bathing! [the low fence is to keep leaves from blowing in during winter] #nativeplants #birds
