It took me around two and a half decades to finally catch these folks live. Highly recommended. I was particularly fascinated by the drummer, and the clever ways he had come up with to create a number of the less identifiable sounds from their earlier recordings.

It appears that was a listener poll. So it speaks more to their shoddy playlist than it does to the ignorance of the folks being polled. People just picked at the only bits of the shit sandwich they were able to recognize.

It is like an IRC channel except everything feels like it is presented to you in reverse order, none of the settings will do what you think they should, and that internal notification sound will keep appearing no matter how hard you try to muzzle it.

Ryan was an interesting one. He never quite won me over on dub music, but he certainly gave it his best. I couldn't remember why I wasn't going to make the local Acid Mothers show until I double checked the calendar. Forgot I'm seeing Múm that night.
