I heard a friend skate skied 20 miles on Eklutna over the weekend. Similar conditions up in Talkeetna lakes but we just had our fish scales. Pretty jealous and good chance we’ll bring the baby there next weekend if conditions persist.

That’s my video! So cool to see in the wild. I was also told it had to do with frazzle/frazil from supercooled water that is below freezing since it’s moving.

I spent a few hours at Dachau. A lot of my family were killed there. I also vividly remember going to the DC holocaust museum with my Oma who escaped the Nazis but lost most of her immediate family. That’s one of the reasons I decided I didn’t want to see the killing fields.
