These are the arrangements I made in my third ikebana class. The cedar in the tall vase started to slide out too much while I was moving it (despite the cross braces), so that one stayed at my table.

I’ve never styled a wig like this before and was SO nervous about this cosplay. It was a great learning experience (I would do several things differently next time) but I received a lot of compliments on it from people who reached out to connect with me about the show or character arc.

Originally we were both supposed to do Star Trek: Lower Decks cosplays on Saturday but our uniforms didn’t arrive in time, so Josh did a variation of Crowley and I cosplayed the pirate queen version of our favorite Orion ensign.

We went out to The Rabbit hOle’s monthly 21+ event—the books I came across in the bookstore transported me to 8 years old, clutching my library books on the ride home from the Helena & listening to my mother read aloud to my brother and me. The exhibits are so well done! @jtdisplays.bsky.social

Originally my spouse suggested a Lower Decks cosplay (so I already have the green make-up on hand), but then suggested Creature Commandos instead. I adore Nina but the Bride may be easier to assemble with a month’s notice. I have next to zero wig styling skills but it could be fun to attempt!
