People here are really excited with the idea of Fernanda Torres winning best female actor, more so because the film was nominated for 3 categories, so it's a huge thing here. I'm rooting for her but not sure she will; Hollywood generally doesn't care for non-English speaking actors...

I'm trying to teach the Kid to look around and see what has to be done, use his brain, and act proactively, and ooof! Some days I'm a successful parent; other days, not so much. But yes, we know EVERYTHING about requirements and step-by-step instructions...

Well, I know Zuck/Sandberg are not "flor que se cheire", as we say in Portuguese. Yes, they'll bow down to the orange dictator-wannabe, it's all about the money. Which is awful of them, but not exactly horrifyingly Nazi-awful as the Xitter guy.

I've just changed my profile on Xitter to show people where to find me. And told the few people I used to DM on Xitter that I'm closing the window I used to leave open on my browser, so I won't see any dms from them. Told them to dm me on Ig, or find me here or on Threads.

I'm more active on Threads, but lots of people I follow on X coming here. Will follow them here and see what happens. I won't delete my account on X, but will definitely stop opening it.
