Everything is scary, but you deserve to enjoy books and tea or cocoa or coffee or wine as it suits you, and some rest. Feed your soul and the scary times will be easier to live through. Feeding your soul becomes an act of resistance.

Did any of y'all have to work Easter or Easter Monday? Did you remember to take time off on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday? Do you have any idea how many saints have feast days throughout the year? You totally need time off for those, right?

That makes me feel slightly better to hear. It all made me feel like we were having a zombie apocalypse against the slow sort of zombies instead of fast ones. You can still be overwhelmed by slow zombies, but maybe we could hole up at the Winchester and have a pint while it all passes.

I have space, but the soil isn't good, there's not enough water, and the infrastructure to defend it from critters would be insanely expensive, particularly with construction materials being more expensive. Also, I'm already exhausted half to death with work, where are we supposed to find the time?

It is a bummer. These are the same people who think you have space lasers, so that's the level of credulity we're dealing with. Have you seen the YouTube video about how the "birds aren't real" conspiracy theory happened? Humanity is mind-blowingly disappointing some days
