Day 16: I swear I'm still writing. Just in much smaller chunks... I am also having thoughts on whether or not it would be fun to turn this into a branched visual novel since it is about a video game, and I have been learning how to program those lately.

Day 12: much like an actual programming project, I've taken days to get to the actual code!

Day 11: The horror of the day is coding in light mode

Day 10: Low key high key got distracted with another project yesterday and today, but at least I started a chapter.

Day 9: this horror novel is apparently for software engineers and software engineers only, because the first actual scary thing to happen is the very niche experience of dreaming about the errors on the linux terminal

Day 8: I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m getting way too technical with some of this stuff

Day 4: So much shit happened at work, so you know i'm writing about it in the vaguest terms possible.

Day 2: I think writing a horror novel about software engineers is hitting too close to home... The real horrors are the jira points.

Day 1: I keep forgetting that my least favorite part of NaNo, is actually starting the book. It's been a minute since I've written prose, so I'll probably scrap everything from today, but... at least it's started.

Fleury upon seeing 12 year old Damian, 18 year old Steph, and 25 year old Dick: there are 3 identical people in matching costumes visible in the park.
