We’re saddened to hear about the passing of poetry great and Black Arts Movement icon, Nikki Giovanni.

According to NPR, she passed away today, following her third cancer diagnosis.

She was 81 years old.

I’m still thinking about the lead at my job saying, when I asked about a Vietnamese coworker’s whereabouts, “Tr*ump deported his ass back to Vietnam”and laughing. He then says, just kidding, he took some vacation days. I am still side-eyeing him…He thought I was gonna kiki with him or something?🤬
