(Acknowledging that this is not what you asked for, but…) If you aren’t aware of focusmate, wanted to put it on your radar. It’s $10 a month, but I think they allow a few trial sessions free per week. If you need it and it works for you, it’s worth it – genuinely transformed my life!

With book Darcy in particular, it’s that he falls for her because he just likes talking to her and arguing with her about dumb stuff. It’s the most fun he’s ever had talking to a woman, possibly to anyone, and he *chooses* to change so she can see he’s not awful/that maybe she actually likes him too
