These are my brothers nieces & nephews at the celebration of life we had for him in Oct. He passed in June after a very long battle with chronic alcoholism. He just could not find sobriety. I miss him so damn much.

Humbling to accept I can no longer shovel snow the way I used to. But I know it is super important to listen to my aging body and underlying health. Now to find a way to get it done before it ices over. Hubby can’t since his heart attack, adult son down with fever, body aches, general funk. *sigh*

“Sale” price for hot chocolate in my local store today. 8 packets. And look at the “regular” price. Yes, I consider it a luxury item, and at this price, did not buy it….but ffs, can’t even afford a simple wintertime treat anymore. $1.25/box earlier this year. Insane.

October 21st on Long Island (NY) and here I am picking green tomatoes to try and coax to ripen indoors. Mind you I had fresh flowers on the plant last week that are also developing into fruit. What is this climate change people deny???

We had a Celebration of Life for my brother who recently passed. These *kids*/cousins have not all been together in 8 years (my two remaining siblings and I all live in different states). Amazing to witness the bond they have, and a little shell shocked at the bar tab these now *adults* racked up🤦🏼♀️😂
