I understand the appeal of Jess hypothetically, and Milo is of course great, but this most recent re-watch really solidified how much I hate him for Rory bc he treats her like GARBAGE the entire time

Yeah I think being a 16 year old boy and saying I Love You to a girl first time and having her not say it back is upsetting. No he didn’t handle it ✨perfectly✨ but him being upset and insecure in response makes sense. He’s allowed to feel hurt abt that.

Idk. No, Lorelai is not a perfect person. She’s very flawed and 3-dimensional, but ppl are SO hard on her while gleefully defending every cruel and stubborn thing Emily says and does. I feel a lot of sympathy for Emily’s feeling, she’s also a fantastically written character, but she’s CRUEL

I just don’t understand how ppl watch this show and come away thinking Emily is right or reasonable in the way she treats her daughter. I don’t understand at all.
