Today I had to make a SkypeOut call for the first time since Skype was discontinued - total mess. Signing into MSFT account to open some outdated Skype pages to reactivate credit, downloading Teams App only to use some in-browser dialer on my phone, which would mute each time the screen went dark.

I was so fortunate to have Karen Ritscher as my viola teacher and mentor through high school. Karen shaped generations of talented violists, not just as players but -- perhaps foremost -- as humans.

Ten years ago this week I moved my domain email from Gmail to @fastmail.com — at that point I was looking for a standard IMAP implementation, and ended up staying for the great tech support, superior filters and no tracking.

Back in New York after performing w National Sawdust Ensemble in the premiere of very moving & transformative Paola Prestini opera “Sensorium Ex” as part of the @csensesfest in Omaha! An opera that dreams in possibility, giving voice & a platform to a community largely unheard in today’s arts.
