Midwife here who has dealt with water birth shoulder dystocias. There may be theoretically more time to rectify, but I wouldn't risk it. Get pregnant person out of water and start getting baby out ASAP.

I have not had a shoulder dystocia remedy by getting someone out of the birth pool, sadly!
