As for elevator pitches, the most common one I hear is that Canlander is like Cube Constructed. When I use this one I like to elaborate that it's like cube in the sense that you get to play a ton of your favorite old cards, but it's like constructed in the sense that the goals between players

Sorry for the late reply! I've found a really successful way to talk about lander to non lander players is to ask them about their favorite cards/playstyles. Typically I will find that they like cards/playstyles that don't really exist in another format but are totally viable in Canlander.

So while the Fair archetypes have gained so much from MH3 and the past year of printings, we still think that combo is quite strong. However, the more powerful they make hatebears, the worse off combo will be in the future. (Here's looking at you - Clarion Conqueror)

Combo decks also have the benefit of knowing with axis they care about fighting on and can prepare to fight on that axis. (We see things like silence, orims chant and veil of summer all of the time)
Fair decks are still great, especially blue decks with adequate pressure.
