Whose idea was it to make allocation functions where you can't specify the alignment explicitly the default?
Also writing operator new overloads is so stupid because it "can" provide it to you but only if it goes over some compiler specific amount... no give it to me every time!!

I really want to make a post about various simd and floating point trickery I've learned over the last few years but I always realise it boils down to knowing how FP and integers work and studying what kinds of instructions you have at your disposal (+ a tiny bit of creativity)

1st one makes sense from a common sense perspective since they only use 0s to count
2nd one makes sense mathematically since you describe a counting system as base-(largest digit + 1)
