My naïve understanding of antitrust law is that it seeks to prohibit monopolies and protect against monopoly behavior within defined markets. Is there another line of antitrust effort that regulates these kinds of diversified holdings? Or are you arguing that there isn’t yet but ought to be?

When your party has a 2+ vote majority, you can grandstand on an individual issue, safe in the knowledge that your vote won’t matter. Both parties do it.
