To which my now visibly distressed grandmother responded, “I don’t know!”

Turns out that a mouse got behind the oven and died. And we were smelling its body frying. 🙃

We went to my grandmother’s house, who made roast beef every year. I was a young teen and was attempting to be less sullen and antisocial so when I walked in the house I said to her face, “it smells delicious in here!”
My father walked in behind me and exclaimed, “Oh geez what is that?”

Oh goodness those tomcat cheeks!

Every time I try to pronounce this I feel like I’m having a stroke

To be fair the noise this makes when it prints numbers is a good brain scratchy one

I wish we could sponsor some science to eliminate the smelly aspect of it. If folks wanna do it - go for it! But good grief I wish there wasn’t a smell we all have to constantly deal with
