That can be hard for people who have been thinking of their collections as valuable/desirable investments. The lack of a market for my late MIL's Hummels was a real gut punch for my FIL when he started letting go of her things.

My ancestors who were here as far back as the Plymouth colony were horse thieves for generations.

If you have a kid like that, it's important to have a device for them that you never use for any adult accounts or store anything important on, so you can wipe it when it's inevitably hideously infected.

A new parenting milestone is when they start doing their own IT, and then when they start helping you.

"Doing your job" ought to include standing up for your constituents, including those who are transgender. Please end your silence on the attacks against this vulnerable minority.

I could imagine mailing it in for a laugh, never expecting to actually be considered.

I make mashed potatoes a few days ahead. I spatchcocked my turkey for Thanksgiving this year and will be doing that going forward. I used the backbone for gravy and did 90% of that the day before. www.seriouseats.com/butterfiled-...
Crisp-Skinned Spatchcocked (Butterflied) Roast Turkey With Gravy Recipe
Spatchcocking turkey gives you stunningly crisp skin and perfectly cooked white and dark meat. Bonus: this recipe makes a flavorful gravy from the pan drippings, too.

FYI, we're not a "high growth company" just a small business.

I was using a local broker for a while and got frustrated with turnover/inconsistent experiences. Now I'm using Foundershield.com - same pricing and it's a lot more convenient.

I did this recently and was thrilled to learn they have eliminated the finger prick, which I always found to be the most painful part. After that, it's just watching a movie while people offer you warm blankets.

Agreed. Also asking an LLM means you aren't asking a person and building a relationship with someone. Parenting an infant can be incredibly isolating and asking for advice is one way to begin to create/find a parenting community.

Pumpkin bars are dangerously close to Thanksgiving cake.

I may relisten while I clean before Thanksgiving. The way kids were denied proper reading instruction is so infuriating it's helpful to have somewhere to direct my anger.

Or delicious?

This is cheap, tasty, fast, and it's easy to keep the ingredients on hand. Also, it's vegan if you leave out the sour cream garnish.https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/14132/black-bean-and-salsa-soup/

Because most people know not to leave 4 star reviews, most 4 star reviews come from clueless people who are complaining about things outside the control of what they're supposed to be reviewing. e.g. "The Airbnb was great, but it rained the whole time we were there."

I own a business and someone left a review complaining about terrible customer service. I reached out to learn more, and discovered that she didn't feel they were "warm enough". They were polite and helpful, but she wanted her ass kissed too. She was very upset. I decided to let her be.

The night Max wore his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind and another, his mother called him "WILD THING!" and Mac said, "I'LL EAT YOU UP!" so he was sent to bed without eating anything. Congress has not authorized the use of military force.

It would be nice to know what the "well-established internal processes" are, and whether they ever lead to actual change.

I'm guessing they'll handle it like razors- there will be a bunch of different styles intended for men and one cheap pink version for the ladies. 🫠
