My mom’s neighbor is REALLLY into Halloween. Her grandmother had the house before, and she did a lot of kitschy decorating for every holiday. The granddaughter takes Halloween to 11.

I leave my dry coneflowers in the garden until the goldfinches visit and leave. They showed up today. Two adult pairs this year and it looks like maybe two male juveniles. They have very distinct chatter. 🪶

I buy these same coloring books over and over because they aren’t frustrating little spaces and the paper is nice for markers. I color when I’m on the phone with my mom every Sunday night or when I have a particularly good podcast to listen to.
